Linda Carpenter for Philadelphia Court
of Common Pleas Judge
Linda
Carpenter is an experienced attorney concentrating in appellate advocacy. She
is a graduate of Goucher College and Villanova University School of Law. Linda
has extensive legal experience that reflects a vigorous, fair, no-nonsense approach
to the law.
Linda has clerked for Madame Justice Sandra Schultz Newman of the Pennsylvania
Supreme Court and the Honorable Carolyn Engel Temin of the Philadelphia Court
of Common Pleas. She also has worked as a litigation attorney, first with the
firm of Hoyle, Morris & Kerr in Philadelphia and for the last 12 years with
the Philadelphia defense firm, McCann & Geschke. She is active in the alumni
affairs both at Goucher College and Villanova University School of Law, and
is a member of the Villanova Inns of Court and past member of the Temple Inns
of Court.
Linda also has dedicated her time to various pro bono legal matters over the
years including civil rights and employment discrimination and sexual harassment
and discrimination cases with work at the Support Center for Child Advocates,
the Philadelphia Volunteers For the Indigent Program and Philadelphia Volunteer
Lawyers for the Arts. She is a current board member of the Lutheran Settlement
House, is an officer of the Fairmount Civic Association and is a past board
member of Nexus for Today’s Art and has served as a member of the executive
committee for the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
When not working in the law, Linda volunteers at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental
Education, is involved in her local community in Fairmount and enjoys writing
and painting.
Linda is happily married to Thomas L. Kehoe, Jr. a small business owner of Yards
Brewing Company located in Kensington. Linda, a resident of Fairmount, can be
